We recommend contacting us as soon as you have concerns that you are been stalked or harassed. We’ll discuss your situation in detail and design an approach that is tailored to your specific needs, and if appropriate, recommend filing a report with the police.
Tracing
We offer a special “couples’ package.” In many cases, tracing one party may lead to the other, which can help manage costs. We’ll discuss the best approach with you first.
Yes, and we love this part of our work. Reuniting loved ones is incredibly rewarding.
Absolutely. That’s one of the most common reasons clients engage us.
We work on a set fee basis. We’ll exhaust our enquiries under this fee and provide you with the results. Any further lines of enquiry can either be pursued by you directly, or we can continue them on your behalf for an additional cost (agreed with you beforehand).
Not always, though we do maintain a high success rate. In the unlikely event we can’t locate the individual, we’ll usually identify additional lines of enquiry for your consideration that we can pursue further as part of our investigation process.
You’ll receive a detailed report with our findings, including the person’s address and any other relevant information uncovered during the process.
We generally allow 7–10 working days for enquiries to be completed (it is often quicker). If required, we can expedite the process under our urgent trace option.
Yes. We work with trusted partners overseas to trace individuals who have left New Zealand.
Our trace enquiry form will be sent to you; it has a list of information that is useful to us when tracing people. In short, anything you can provide is helpful—every detail, no matter how small, increases our chances of success.
Operating within legal parameters is very important to us. We have access to databases and resources that assist us in conducting thorough and lawful traces.
Process serving
Absolutely. We also welcome your enquiries, as we understand there can be a lot of emotional investment in the service of documents.
This is very common. Our team is well trained in a wide range of techniques and approaches to give you the best possible chance of having documents served, even if the recipient is deliberately trying to avoid being found.
This can happen, which is why we strongly encourage our clients to do as much homework as possible before lodging service. If we visit an address, a service fee is triggered even if the person has already moved. We’ll make enquiries to try and obtain forwarding information to assist with locating their new residence, but please note that any subsequent visits to a new address will trigger another fee. We’d recommend our tracing process if you need to establish where the person(s) are currently living.
No problem! Our team is experienced at ensuring notices are brought to the recipient’s attention and will serve them in a legal manner regardless (if appropriate).
Per fee, we’ll make a minimum of 3 attempts. Often, if we’re in the area we’ll keep a look out for any changes at the property if locating and serving the individual is proving difficult.
Yes, as people have differing routines, workhours and other factors, we’ll purposefully vary the times of our visits to ensure the best chance of achieving service.
We make it as simple as possible! You can head to our upload page and follow the instructions of what we need. If you’d rather reach out on phone or email, that’s fine too! We’ll make it as simple as possible! We just need to know who the documents are for, where they need to be served and provided with the documents for serving and we’ll do the rest.During the service attempts, we’ll keep you updated and let you know when it’s completed (or if there are any issues with completing service). If you don’t know where they live, have a look at our tracing page to see how we can help you
Yes absolutely, we have a team of agents on hand to complete service on multiple groups. Previously we have served documents on groups of up to 30 people across New Zealand and internationally. We can form the best strategy for successful service, or we can work with your preferences. When it comes to reporting the service, we can update you on each successful serve or report at the conclusion.
Our agents’ safety is always a priority, but our team are experienced and comfortable making hard decisions under pressure so will do all possible to serve your documents. If the risk becomes too great, we’ll discuss it with you and establish if there is an alternative option (e.g. trying to serve with another of our agents or changing the approach). If we can’t guarantee our agents safety, we’ll advise of next possible steps or options available to you.
Workplace is fine, we’ve had success serving people at their workplace. We’ll usually discuss this with you to ensure the person isn’t unnecessarily embarrassed or the situation agitated unnecessarily.
Surveillance
In the unlikely event that we are spotted or approached; our true purpose will never be disclosed. We remain professional and discreet in all circumstances.[SURVEILLANCE]
We have access to specialist equipment, including high-resolution digital cameras and a variety of covert techniques, tailored to the needs of each job.
Several factors influence cost, including your objectives, the duration of surveillance, and the number of investigators required. We recommend contacting us with an overview of your situation so we can provide a tailored recommendation.
Absolutely not. We will never engage in any activity that amounts to a breach (direct or indirect) of a Protection Order. If the circumstances are such that the surveillance won’t breach the conditions of the order, we’ll carefully assess this and work with you as best possible.
The cost depends largely on the circumstances. Significant travel will increase costs, and if the subject employs counter-surveillance measures, additional investigators may be required. Both factors naturally raise the overall cost. Understanding your position in more detail will help us provide a better quote.
No problem. We’ll adapt and discuss any last-minute changes with you as they occur.
We’ll discuss your needs and expectations at the outset and agree on a schedule of updates that keeps you informed while allowing us to carry out the work effectively. At an entry level, we’ll usually verbally update you during / immediately after and then a written report will follow.
Yes, both are possible, depending on the circumstances.

No, you can’t. Consent is required.

This depends on the circumstances. In cases involving estranged family members or past relationships, the answer is usually no—we respect the wishes of the person traced. However, we will explain the situation to you clearly and may pursue follow-up enquiries with the traced individual to provide you with some answers where appropriate. We adopt a ‘case by case’ approach with this as the matters are often very delicate.
We will assess this with you when you engage us. You’ll need to confirm whether a protection order exists to ensure we are not enabling any breaches of the law. What you choose to declare is taken seriously—if a breach occurs, criminal responsibility rests with you.
